On 24th September the CharityComms seminar took place at NCVO, London.
Over 90 people attended the event which included presentations from:
Estelle Taylor, Communications Director at the Campaign for Better Transport, who shared the inside story on the organisation’s rebrand. One year on, Estelle looked back at the best and worst parts of the process, shared her top rebranding tips, revealed whether she’d have done anything differently, and crucially, explained whether the rebrand was a success.

On 30th July 2008 the CharityComms seminar took place at UCL, London.
Over 80 people attended the event which included presentations from:
Niall Cowley, Managing Director of Bright Young Things, who made a compelling argument for the value of social media. Niall looked at how to integrate social networking into more traditional media campaigns and illustrated his points with a case study from the Anti-Bullying Week, November 2007.

On 25th June 2008 the CharityComms seminar took place at Westminster University, London.
Over 100 people attended the event which included presentations from:
Judith Barnard, Communications Director at Leonard Cheshire Disability, who shared the inside story on the rebrand of Leonard Cheshire. In a lively session Judith looked at some of the processes that took place as well as the challenges they faced and the impact the rebrand had.

Over 70 people attended the event which included presentations from:
Dan Dufour, Brand Communications Consultant at The Team and former Brand Manager at Shelter, who presented on how to manage a strong and consistent charity brand. Dan looked at how to manage your brand internally so it doesn't unravel the second it leaves the door. He also offered tips and practical advice on successful brand management.

Charity communications offices should work across their organisation to exploit every opportunity to find, recruit and retain great real life stories, for use in their media work.
That was the message of Mary Ryan, patient liaison manager at Cancer Research UK, in a presentation to the third free CharityComms seminar, in November.
She outlined how CRUK use everything from fundraising events and charity shops, to asking around the office and posting on blogs to find people willing to talk to the media about how cancer has affected their lives.
