On April 24th 2008 the CharityComms seminar took place at University College London, Gower Street.

We heard from four speakers who presented on e-campaigning, rebranding and working with PR agencies.

Over 85 people attended the event which included presentations from:

Amanda Bringans, Director of Fundraising at Macmillan Cancer Support, who shared the inside story on the high profile Macmillan Cancer Relief rebranding. In a lively and interactive session Amanda looked at the challenges, the highlights and the work that still has to be done.

Graham Covington, Managing Director of Advocacy Online and Jonathan Purchase, Head of Client Support and Services, presented on the essential ingredients of e-campaigning. They used case studies to unpack the common elements of successful e-campaigning and discussed their implementation.

Lisa Mangan, from social change communications consultancy Forster, who looked at how charities can get the best from commercial PR agencies. In particular Lisa looked at tricks of the trade, how to manage the relationship and how to get value for money.
