On 30th July 2008 the CharityComms seminar took place at UCL, London.
Over 80 people attended the event which included presentations from:
Niall Cowley, Managing Director of Bright Young Things, who made a compelling argument for the value of social media. Niall looked at how to integrate social networking into more traditional media campaigns and illustrated his points with a case study from the Anti-Bullying Week, November 2007.

Tess Woodcraft, Director of the Centre for Strategy and Communication. Tess gave a very practical account of how to set up and run focus groups. She covered: recruiting participants, developing topic guides, moderating groups and reporting on the findings. Tess also suggested an action learning group might be formed from seminar delegates - and that the group could take turns to run focus groups for each other.
