On 28th May 2008 the CharityComms seminar took place at Friends House, London.
Over 70 people attended the event which included presentations from:
Dan Dufour, Brand Communications Consultant at The Team and former Brand Manager at Shelter, who presented on how to manage a strong and consistent charity brand. Dan looked at how to manage your brand internally so it doesn't unravel the second it leaves the door. He also offered tips and practical advice on successful brand management.

Martin Moore, Director of the Media Standards Trust, who talked about why charities need to become more like news organisations. As contemporary news organisations' editorial resources decline, commercial PR grows, and 'news' accumulates ever faster on the net, Martin explained why NGOs have to adopt some of the functions of the 20th century news organisation. Martin's presentation certainly stirred up quite a debate.
