CharityComms seminar

Date:
May 28, 2008
Length:
1/2 day
Location:
London, Friends House
Organiser:
CharityComms

Speakers include:

Dan Dufour, Brand Communications Consultant at The Team and former Brand Manager at Shelter, who will be discussing how to manage a strong and consistent charity brand. Dan will be looking at how to manage your brand internally so it doesn’t unravel the second it leaves the door. He will be offering top tips on successful brand management with case studies from across the sector.

Martin Moore, Director of the Media Standards Trust, who will talk about why charities need to become more like news organisations. As contemporary news organisations' editorial resources decline, commercial PR grows, and 'news' accumulates ever faster on the net, Martin will explain why NGOs have to adopt some of the functions of the 20th century news organisation, and what this means in practice.

Alistair Wheate, Business Development Consultant at NewsPing, who will be presenting on how to make the most of the increasing global trend for news being available online and for free.  Alistair will also be giving a brief introduction to new tools for monitoring and sharing information online and how these can be used to improve communications and raise the profile of your website.
