Did you know there are high-quality, free alternatives to email, office, graphics, project management, web-editing, multimedia and many more types of software, and even the entire Desktop itself?

The open day will offer:

* Live demos of free software to use on your Windows desktop
* Presentations from people already using free software in VCS settings from desktop PCs to powerful servers
* Workshops on how to choose the right options and make sensible, gradual changes
* Practical pathways to environmentally-friendlier ICT

We will also be giving away free CDs with open office, graphics, web and project management software for Windows with illustrated tutorials and free desktop demo and installation CDs

This event is free to Cascade Network members or £25 for non-members. More information about the Cascade Network for Second-tier Information Workers in London can be seen at www.lvsc.org.uk/cascade
