Our seminars provide a select group of people with the opportunity to look at issues around themes of common interest.  For this seminar, we are looking at ‘Healthy Journalism: challenges and solutions'.  Attendees are encouraged to bring examples of articles and other relevant documentation to supplement the presentations on the day. Places are limited to 50.

Key objectives for the event, primarily aimed at journalists, journalism students and press officers, are to:

  • Understand the challenges facing healthcare journalists
  • Gain deeper understanding of what constitutes evidence
  • Identify ways to avoid misreporting
  • Meet up to share and learn from each other’s experiences.

This evening seminar will open at 6.00pm and start promptly at 6.30pm with a range of presentations, followed by an action-orientated discussion.  Formal proceedings will finish at 8.45pm and be followed by an informal drinks reception.

The seminar is free to attend for journalists, journalism students and press officers.
