CharityComms Director, Norma Johnston, has been asked to represent CharityComms on a panel of experts judging this year’s Third Sector Excellence Awards 2009.
The awards, which have been running for five years, recognise the achievements of registered charities, not-for-profits, social enterprises and campaigning groups, from the last 12 months.
Johnston will be judging the communications, marketing and campaigning categories which include best: annual report, brand development, use of digital media, website, communications campaign and communications team.
Johnston said: “I am really pleased CharityComms has been asked to judge the Third Sector Excellence Awards. At our seminars and conferences we see excellent communicating and campaigning on a regular basis and it is right that this be recognised across the sector.”
The judging panel, which is made up of independent experts who will be judging categories according to their skills and experience, will be looking for examples of outstanding campaigns, strategies, projects and performance, backed up by hard evidence of success.
Altogether there are 25 categories which voluntary organisations can enter and the deadline for entries is Monday 15th June. Judging will take place in July 2009 and a shortlist for each award will be published after that. The awards will culminate in a black-tie awards ceremony, which will be presented at the Grosvenor House hotel in London on 24th September.
