Four Hundred Delegates Clamour for Places at CharityComms Seminar
A seminar for charity communicators has proved so popular that the organisers will be laying on an extra date to meet the overwhelming demand.
The seminar, hosted by CharityComms, is scheduled for 19 September. It features Penelope Gibbs, Director of Voluntary Action Media, who will discuss the risks and benefits of developing human interest case studies to illustrate the work of charities.
CharityComms chairman Joe Saxton will give a presentation on the 21st century challenges for effective charity communications, and Breast Cancer Care’s head of New Media, Bertie Bosredon, will take a provocative look at the opportunities offered by Web 2.0 technology.
CharityComms Director, Norma Johnston said:
“We are delighted at the huge response to this seminar, which has been more than four times higher than expected. With 167,000 registered charities in the UK, the demand for a specialist body for charity communicators is enormous.”
CharityComms was set up in 2006 to provide an association for practitioners involved in all aspects of charity communications.
Disappointed delegates will be offered an alternative chance to attend the seminar on 3rd October, and should contact the organisers at seminars@charitycomms.org.uk
Details of the CharityComms’ Autumn ’07 events will be published on the site from 17 September.
