After Barnardo’s former head of digital Shaf Mansour was mentored by consultant Bertie Bosrédon, he made a decision.
“I learnt so much through being a mentee, I wanted to pass it forward to someone else,” says Shaf.
Through CharityComms, Shaf started to mentor Beth Young from Contact the Elderly. This three-way sharing of knowledge has helped Bertie, Shaf and Beth in their work and, in turn, has had an impact on the causes – and beneficiaries – that they work for.
For Shaf, that included helping Barnardo’s be there for vulnerable children and young people across all channels. For Beth, it’s raising awareness of Contact the Elderly’s work so the charity can reach more isolated older people. And, for Bertie, it’s sharing expanded expertise and insight with charity clients.
