Loved by their teams and far beyond, both Zoe and Tom were awarded inspiring communicator awards last year and are known in the sector for being passionate champions of their charity. Always willing to go above and beyond to help draw attention to their campaigns, these two, along with the rest of the YoungMinds team seem to have an endless energy for doing all that they can to support young people’s mental health.
But where does this duo’s endless energy and enthusiasm come from? For Zoe, it is rooted in knowing that great comms comes in the form of the words used and stories told has ‘the power to make people feel something and do something’. And for Tom, it’s a determination to ‘not let the bad guys win’ and a feeling that he ‘can’t stand seeing people get a raw deal’ that acts as a driving force that keeps him pushing for change. Plus of course, it is kept going through a strong team spirit, formed through looking out for each other, keeping each other’s motivation high, and making time for fun and games as well as hard work.
So if you’re looking for a dose of inspiration tune into this series finale of our podcast and get ready to feel a warm glow inside as you hear Zoe and Tom chat about their journeys into the sector and what keeps them going on a daily basis.
