Digital content producer/editor

Reporting to: 

Digital content manager

Role purpose:

To write and publish on-line content for engaging our audiences, including on social media. The post holder will also support larger outreach projects.

Key responsibilities:

Content
 
  • Plan and produce compelling content which brings our mission to our target audiences and makes a lasting impact in supporting our fundraising and communications objectives
  • Use a range of innovative formats like infographics, stories, blogs etc. to bring complex stories to the attention of online readers in a more succinct form
  • Monitor social media and post updates
  • Keep the website up to date
  • Support offline events with on-line copy and live-tweeting
  • Update and maintain branding 
  • Design content optimised for conversion and search engine optimisation
Relationships
 
  • Locate and work with third party organisations and bloggers to promote the organisation 
  • Liaise with third party organisations when outsourcing design or project development
Long term objectives
 
  • Monitor the performance of the organisation’s content using tools like Google Analytics and make suggestions for improvement
  • Ensure consistency in messages coming out from different departments and on different platforms
  • Train other members of the organisation in digital skills where possible
