Role purpose:
Lead and champion digital engagement across the organisation. To manage the digital media team in ensuring effective strategy, delivery and evaluation of all digital activities. This includes websites, online marketing, online engagement, social networks, e-commerce, online fundraising, video, SMS and various internet projects, all geared towards achieving greater visibility and fundraising success.
Key responsibilities:
Content creation
- Implement and develop a digital engagement strategy, including search engine optimisation across all of our online content
- Generate awareness of charity and issues, and drive traffic to digital activities through online marketing and communications
- Continually improve websites to provide trusted, interesting, informative and personalised online content which is up to date, and work with internal contributors to make sure their content reflects this
- Monitor and steer development of content strategy and engagement strategies, including managing a budget for each new project
- Develop, implement and optimise new online income opportunities
- Develop strategies, tools and applications to increase supporter conversion, engagement and retention, using a thorough understanding of our audience
- Evaluate and communicate statistics and results on our digital offer
- Ensure corporate identity is adhered to online and all legal requirements are met, while working towards accessibility in all content across a range of devices
- Keep abreast of development in the digital arena, identify new digital opportunities and be a digital evangelist for the charity
Relationships
- Manage and inspire the Digital Media team, providing them with regular performance objectives
- To work with IT and third party providers on technical issues
- Manage relationships with key third party digital suppliers/agencies
