Direct marketing manager

Reporting to:

Director of communications and fundraising

Role purpose:

To lead our direct marketing work, reviewing and revising practices based on success measured against agreed KPIs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the direct mail team to improve campaign analysis and evaluation including benchmarking key performance indicators and developing income scenarios such as lifetime value
  • Develop a cost effective supporter recruitment strategy to reach audiences who will develop long-term giving relationships
  • Develop retention strategies based on supporter insight and best practise in supporter stewardship in order to consistently engage, motivate and retain supporters and increase their life time value and relationship with the charity
  • Develop operational plans and budgets within direct mail and direct marketing that help the charity deliver growth plans through effective planned investment
