Director of marketing and communications

Reporting to:

CEO

Role purpose:

Leading and giving strategic direction to the marketing and communications department and taking ultimate responsibility for all marketing activities within the charity

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading the marketing and comms department
  • Responsibility for performance, direction and staff
  • Advising CEO on, and implementing, agreed marketing and communications strategy to build brand awareness, market services and facilities, communicate programmes, activities, and impact
  • Leading on developing relations with media and approving all media communications
  • Managing workload, prioritising and scheduling activities and directing the allocation of work to meet deadlines for multiple different marketing activities, PR communications and events
  • Leading project management, planning, budgeting, execution and evaluation of marketing events and activities
  • Maintaining good relations and liaising with key partners and contractors
  • Develop and lead on internal comms strategy
