The AI conversation in the charity comms sector has accelerated rapidly, but not everyone’s moving at the same pace. Some charities are still experimenting, trying to work out where AI fits. Others are further along, wrestling with how to scale what’s working and get a grip on what isn’t.
Wherever you and your team are on the AI journey, the questions are getting bigger and the stakes are getting higher. How do you use AI consciously, ethically and purposefully, and build the frameworks that help your team make those calls confidently? How do you embed it in a way that reflects your values and ensures the right skills are developing across your team? And how do you ensure the lessons you’re learning actually spread and stick across your wider organisation?
This conference works on two levels:
- Practical skills sessions will give your team AI tools and techniques to use immediately to improve comms, save time and supercharge day-to-day work.
- For managers, heads of department and charity leaders, we go deeper. We’ll explore AI maturity, governance and ethical frameworks. We’ll look at how other charities are approaching AI strategy, and where the real opportunities for transformation lie.
On the agenda:
- Building an AI-ready culture: we’ll explore leadership, values, transparency, and tackling “shadow AI” to help charities create responsible foundations.
- Taking stock: where does the charity sector stand with AI, and where does your organisation fit in? We’ll help you work that out.
- Where next and what’s coming up in the AI space, including whether we’re in an AI bubble? How to spot the big opportunities for your teams and move from ad hoc experimentation to strategic implementation.
- AI governance, ethics and risk. We’ll put the harder questions centre stage: environmental impact, bias, trust, authenticity, and what it really means for your team when the policies haven’t caught up with the technology.
- The future of comms: what AI could mean for job roles, structures and skills, and who in your organisation can now “do” comms.
- Human-centred storytelling: as AI-generated content floods every channel, audiences are craving something different. We’ll explore the growing demand for authenticity.
- A practical framework to help your comms and marketing teams answer the questions that matters most: where does AI genuinely add value, and where should you keep humans in the driving seat?
- Practical AI for communicators: real use cases, useful tools, smarter workflows. Things you can actually do when you’re back at your desk.
Is this event for me?
