Demonstrating the worthwhile work your charity is doing, as well as the difference your supporters are making is essential. So how can you move beyond the standard impact report to communicate your impact in a more engaging and powerful way?

At this event, we’ll be looking at how to take your impact reporting beyond explaining where each penny in a pound is being spent.

We’ll hear from Steven Dodds, founder and planning partner at Harvest, on his recent research into the importance of communicating your impact. He will touch on how impact reporting is fundamentally connected to public attitudes to charities, and how innovating with the way you communicate impact can be an opportunity to tell compelling stories, and encourage supporters to invest in your brand.

I’m also on the look out for a charity to present on the ways it communicates its impact to the public. If you’d like to share your organisation’s experience on innovating with your methods to demonstrate impact, please drop Robyn an email

The South West Networking Group is a network of comms professionals working in UK charities and not-for-profit organisations in the South West of England and Wales.

Meeting three times a year in Bristol, each event focuses on a different comms topic with presentations, group discussions and networking. These events are a great opportunity to meet your peers, compare notes on workplace practices and share successes, ideas, challenges and inspiration. The group is designed to encourage networking and peer-to-peer support, sharing issues in a ‘safe’ and relaxed environment.

More info coming August 2018.

Booking will open approx. six weeks before the event. If you’d like to be one of the first to hear about these events, please email Sarah Cutress to be added to the mailing list.

If you’re interested in presenting at this event (or at a future event) or joining the steering group, please email Robyn Lewes.
