It’s like a whole new frontier in digital. The pandemic has pushed the importance of digital to the forefront of most charities’ agendas. Digital teams have flexed to support the needs of the entire organisation – everything from fundraising, training, internal comms support and service delivery. In this session, we’ll be looking at how the landscape of digital fundraising is changing, how charities are rising up to meet these changes, and how it’s throwing up a whole new set of challenges too.

Digital donation trends and those who are adapting effectively in 2020
Vicky will share digital giving stats and trends WPNC has seen this year as a result of COVID-19. She will also share how charities such as The Royal British Legion have had to pivot and digitise quickly in time for the Poppy Appeal – one of the largest fundraising events of the year.
Vicky Reeves @vickyreeves
We’ll use breakout rooms to talk about your current digital fundraising challenges.
Group discussion: How are teams balancing the demands of fundraising with other areas of work?
Vanessa Weddell @nesser00
Digital capabilities are at the heart of our agency WPNC (formerly WPN+Chameleon). We are dedicated to creating digital solutions and products for organisations that meet their key objectives or play an integral part in a campaign.
We use insight, creativity and technical innovation to create compelling experiences that move people to take action.
We also have significant experience in digital fundraising including creating the next generation donation platform goDonate which handles the online donations for many leading charities such as the NSPCC, Alzheimer’s Society, Prostate Cancer and Battersea.
About the Heads of Digital
This networking group is exclusively for heads of digital working in UK charities and not-for-profits with a turnover of more than £2 million.
The format of the evening is networking followed by round-table discussion, led by our excellent facilitators, feeding into the group as a whole.
The group meets three times a year to discuss strategic issues facing digital leads at large charities. The group is designed to encourage networking and peer-to-peer support, sharing issues in a ‘safe’ and relaxed environment.
If you’d like to be one of the first to hear about these events please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the Heads of Digital mailing list.
