We’re excited to announce our first in-person networking event since the pandemic began. We’re looking forward to bringing our members, trustees and staff together for an afternoon of networking, nibbles and our Extraordinary General Meeting in London on Tuesday, 13 September 2022.
About the event
Many of you have been in touch to say that you miss in person networking events here at CharityComms, and this feels like the right time for us to bring you together before the winter months.
We’ll be gathering for networking and nibbles from 16:00 to 18:00, with the EGM beginning at 16:45 and lasting around 15 minutes.
We’ve hired a garden room with a private garden terrace to ensure good ventilation during the event, and places are limited. We’re working hard behind the scenes to make this event as safe as possible and will be able to share our Covid protocols with you nearer the time.
If you have any questions about this event, please contact our head of events, Vanessa Weddell.
About our EGM
During the EGM, members will have the opportunity to vote on the adoption of amended Articles to permit next and future annual general meetings to be held online.
Flexing to online events has helped us reach more members than ever before, and we feel strongly that we should be able to hold future annual general meetings online as well. This important change to the Articles will give us flexibility for the future.
You can check out the formal notice for the EGM here, along with details on what you’ll be voting on during the event. Our EGM must be held in person, in accordance with current legislation.
Can’t join us for the event?
If you’re a current member and aren’t able to join us for the in-person event, please complete this proxy form by 17:00 on 9 September. Every vote is important, and we want your voice to be heard too. Please note that only 1 person from each organisation may vote.
Questions about the EGM
If you have any questions on the EGM itself, please contact Joseph Fadahunsi, head of finance, governance, and operations at joseph@charitycomms.org.uk.
We hope you’ll make your voice heard, either in person or via our online proxy voting system.
