Crisis Comms

Do you need to revisit your crisis comms strategy, or perhaps devise one from scratch so that you’re better able to deal with unexpected events?

Crises cannot always be avoided but having a robust plan in place to protect and defend the reputation of your organisation, or an individual within it, can greatly reduce the harm done.

A well thought out crisis response, which is correctly and quickly implemented, can prevent an incident from becoming a full-blown crisis; limiting losses and maybe even preventing the failure of your organisation.

Our speakers will talk you through the models they use to deal with crisis situations, and the plans they have in place to communicate effectively with media, the general public and internal and external stakeholders.

Agenda coming soon – watch this space!

About the Midlands networking group

The Midlands networking group is a network of comms professionals working in UK charities and not-for-profit organisations in the Midlands.

You’ll be given the opportunity to meet your peers, compare notes on workplace practices and share successes, ideas, challenges and inspiration. The group is designed to encourage networking and peer-to-peer support, sharing issues in a ‘safe’ and relaxed environment.

Each event will focus on a topic which delegates will discuss in small groups before feeding back to the group as a whole. There’ll also be plenty of time for networking.

In between events, stay in touch with your peers by joining our Facebook Midlands networking group.

If there’s a topic you’d like to discuss or if you’d be interested in speaking at a future event, please email Vanessa.

If you’d like to be one of the first to hear about these events, please email Lauren to be added to the Midlands networking group mailing list.
