From working with colleagues based in different locations to motivating and managing the work of volunteers, internal communications can be challenging.
At this seminar we heard what other organisations are doing to support their internal communications and volunteer functions. The British Red Cross discussed how internal comms can help engage a remote workforce; reflect diversity and inclusion; and build your brand. Teach First shared how they recruit volunteers and keep them engaged and on brand and how they balance the wishes of volunteers and the needs of the charity’s community.

About the North West Regional Group
The North West Regional Group is a network of comms professionals working in UK charities and not-for-profit organisations in the North West of England.
Meeting three times a year in Manchester, each event focuses on a different comms topic with presentations, group discussions and networking. These events are a great opportunity to meet your peers, compare notes on workplace practices and share successes, ideas, challenges and inspiration. The group is designed to encourage networking and peer-to-peer support, sharing issues in a ‘safe’ and relaxed environment.
Please contact Vanessa Weddell if you’d like to be added to the North West Regional Group mailing list.
