Whether you work in a large to medium sized charity with separate PR and fundraising teams or you’re in a smaller organisation where boundaries are less clear, there is no getting away from the fact that the two functions are often uneasy bedfellows.
PR should reinforce and build on the messages that fundraisers are giving to supporters – at a time when public perception of charities is at an all time low this has never been more important. This event will focus on how you can align PR and fundraising effectively, with expert insights from two incredible campaigns.
You’ll learn about campaign planning, how storytelling can increase fundraising, working with the press, harnessing social media, measuring success and more.

About the Scotland networking group
The Scotland networking group is a network for comms professionals working in Scotland-based charities.
You’ll be given the opportunity to meet your peers, compare notes on workplace practices and share successes, ideas, challenges and inspiration. The group is designed to encourage networking and peer-to-peer support, sharing issues in a ‘safe’ and relaxed environment.
Each event will focus on a topic which delegates will discuss in small groups before feeding back to the group as a whole. There’ll also be plenty of time for networking.
These networking events are held in Edinburgh or Glasgow, three times a year.
If there’s a topic you’d like to discuss or if you’d be interested in speaking at a future event, please contact Vanessa.
If you’d like to be one of the first to hear about these events, please contact our events team to be added to the mailing list.
