Visual storytelling – a trend made popular by the caveman (or woman) – still plays a huge role in our lives today. And with the human brain processing visuals 60,000 times faster than text, we’re really not surprised.
Unlike the cave people, the opportunities we have to visually tell our stories are much greater now with channels like Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat and formats like photos, videos, and virtual reality (to name a few).
At this event, we were joined by CoppaFeel! and Crohn’s and Colitis UK. They shared the finer details of how they’re nailing the trend our ancestors gave us – telling compelling stories through powerful imagery, across a range of channels and mediums.

About the Creatives Group
The Creatives Group is a gathering of creative leads, editors, publications managers, designers, production folk, content producers and more.
Each event focuses on a different creative topic with a presentation, group discussions and networking.
These events are a great opportunity to meet your peers, compare notes on workplace practices and share successes, ideas, challenges and inspiration. The group is designed to encourage networking and peer to peer support, sharing issues in a ‘safe’ environment.
If you’d like to be one of the first to hear about these events, please contact Sarah Cutress to be added to the mailing list.
If you’re interested in presenting at a future event or joining the steering group, please contact Vanessa Weddell.
