A practical training workshop for charity communicators
You don’t need expensive equipment or specialist skills to create powerful films that show the difference your work makes. This practical workshop supports charity communicators, especially small organisations working with limited time and budgets, to plan, film and share case study and impact story films using just a smartphone. This session will break down the process into clear, manageable steps, with a strong focus on ethical, people-centred storytelling.
What You’ll Learn
- How to plan a strong case study or impact story
- Simple smartphone filming techniques for interviews and real-life action
- Interview techniques and ethical approaches to filmmaking
- How to use films across websites, social media and funder communications
No previous filming or editing experience needed.
This workshop will give you the confidence and practical skills to create clear, engaging case study and impact story films using the tools you already have.
Who will lead the training?
This training will be delivered by Emma Bracegirdle, founder of The Saltways.
