Role purpose:
The purpose of the post is to manage end-to-end the process – from scheduling and production to evaluation – of our email communications overall and per specific projects across fundraising and campaigning
Key responsibilities:
- To develop and maintain the overall email schedule and strategy
- To advise digital team and clients on the development of new digital products in order to ensure recruitment of new email prospects
- To develop processes for email production and train clients and other teams in using it
- To lead the email marketing group in accordance with the overall marketing plan
- To develop email plans for specific digital products
- To support the work of communications planning as necessary
- To lead on the set-up and maintenance of the email marketing system
- To lead on the integration of the email system with the online database
- To liaise with data and client teams to agree the processes and principles
- To create emails using the email marketing system and send them
- To train other members of the extended digital team as necessary
- To ensure that a high percentage of emails sent are delivered
- Research and collect content as required for scheduled emails
- Brief and manage the sourcing of content from editors and producers
- Manage the in-house or outsourced production of digital projects
- Create evaluation plans for all email marketing campaigns
- Working with digital data analyst to produce reports and analysis of email marketing campaigns and advise on changes needed to improve email KPIs
- Keep clean and accessible records for project documentation and online account details
- Participate in and support the general activities of the multimedia team
- Support and cover for digital data analyst when required
- Participate in the website editorial rota for on-call working
- Keep up to date with latest digital developments and their application
