Speaking on the latest developments, from the demand for authenticity to the rise of negative content. He looked at what audiences expect from charities on social media, as well as the kinds of content the algorithms are prioritising, and how best to respond to this whilst maintaining your charitable values.

| Working with influencers and content creators in the charity space In this session, Sarah offered top tips for how charities can best work with influencers and content creators to reach wider audiences and amplify campaigns. She considered the latest trends in this area of work, using examples and lessons from Battersea’s successful Wear Blue for Rescue campaign which they paid content creators to get involved in.

As the kids say, TikTok ‘slaps’. In this session, we explored trends and what’s working for charities on one of the world’s fastest growing channels. It included logistical considerations when setting up and running a successful channel, and how to create content that adds value, demonstrates impact and inspires action from Gen Z, Millennials and Gen X’ers. Whether you’re new to TikTok or looking to improve your existing channel, this session was full of tips you can take back to your desk.

Like many smaller charities, Kids Inspire (a children’s mental health charity) has a tiny comms budget but a very busy team with big ambitions. In this session, Helen explored a range of free or low-cost AI tools that have helped them to be more efficient and enhance their social media engagement to tell their story. Helen highlighted how they got buy-in for using AI, the ethical aspects they considered. There was also practical tips for using a range of tools to help your charity boost productivity and engagement on social media channels including LinkedIn, TikTok and Instagram.
