About The Comms Practice Studio
The Comms Practice Studio is a place for charity communicators to actively engage and participate in comms practice together. You’ll be learning alongside your peers in the sector, and putting your new knowledge and expertise into practice. The Comms Practice Studio features a mix of presentations, practical workshops, interactive polls and resources to help you further your comms practice in key areas.
Better fundraising comms, bigger results
Our brand new Comms Practice Studio is an interactive, all day session on crafting better fundraising comms that yield bigger results. We know that the fundraising climate is tough, with fewer people than ever giving to charity, according to the 2025 CAF UK Giving Report. Donation rates are also down across ages, which means fundraising comms need to make every effort count.
While we’re in the Studio together, we’ll share trends from the current fundraising landscape, help you align your comms and fundraising strategies, enable you to better understand your audiences and choose the right channels for your messages. We’ll then look at evidence-based comms techniques and how to use data driven techniques too. We’ll help you craft the right messaging, and share tips on how to get buy-in for new ways of working in your organisation.
You’ll leave the session with loads of new ideas, connections, and an action plan to help you and your organisation up your fundraising comms game. We’ll show you the benefits of crossing departmental divides to give your audiences the best engagement experiences that are centred on them, and not on your organisational departments.
We’ll also act as your accountability partner, following up with you at regular intervals after we meet to see how you’re getting on with putting new and improved ways of working into practice.
Who is this event for?
This event is for anyone who’s working on fundraising communications – no matter your job title or level. We’ll also be sharing techniques and insights that are valuable, whatever your budget.
This event is an ideal strategy day for your comms team, and your fundraising team too. We’ve created the structure and the content for you so you can focus on learning together.
